Trompe l’oeil meaning to ‘trick the eye’ is a theme which runs through much of Emma’s designs, from hiding bugs within the folds of her cushions to using vintage images on modern shapes. Inspired by honesty, poking fun and small details she creates products that are functional and beautiful.

Mushton

An Illustration Exhibition by Emmeline Pidgen & Scott Hands ::05th - 20th October 2009::
"As with all great art exhibitions, Mushton started with a drawing of a loaf of bread. Which was then transformed into a small mushroom house, and so it began... The little gallery in Babahogs will become a small mushroom town full of lovely, happy mushroom characters including drawings, paintings, town portraits, tiny sculptures, felt toys & jewellery!"

Artade Ink Jam '09

Shot in 2009 documenting the ARTADE collective and Inkjam competition at the Eden Project and Babahogs Art Café. The competition follows a group of artists through four rounds competing to win a professional commission.
